How quickly the end of a wonderful 2023 has arrived! At the end of a productive year, many take time to reflect on all that was accomplished during previous months while also looking forward to a brand-new canvas packed full of potential. For the team at Windjam Companies, 2023 exceeded our expectations in both significance and success as our footprint was expanded through development, donations, and more. It has long been the goal of Windjam to make a positive difference within those communities we touch–a goal achieved multiple times over the past year.
Is it even possible to name a single accomplishment of which the Windjam team is most proud? Absolutely not as each of our successes served as a steppingstone to the next.
Expanding the Windjam Companies footprint:
In the past twelve months, Windjam Development, a subsidiary of Windjam Companies, kicked off development in several beautiful up-and-coming communities across central North Carolina.
- Wendell, NC embraced Windjam as we closed on the land that encompasses the Browning Mill and Browning Stables neighborhoods. Windjam selected Eastwood Homes and Pulte Homes to take homes from design to completion in Browning Mill and Browning Stables, respectively.
- Also in Johnston County, Caruso Homes purchased lots from Windjam in Brant Station. Beautiful, newly built homes are already selling quickly in this gorgeous Garner neighborhood!
- In Goldsboro, Windjam Development has been busy prepping for a huge 2024 as dream homes become a reality in both the Seymour Village and Lane Tree Golf communities. In Seymour Village, exquisite townhomes will take center stage for new homeowners. The Lane Tree neighborhood sold out quickly!
- Windjam also closed on Chatham County’s Flatiron Forest which is set to include 28 desirable homesites across 42 acres. Flatiron Forest’s expansive lots will allow homeowners privacy within a location that offers easy access to endless local favorites.
- In other exciting news, Windjam is busy mapping out plans for an upcoming community in the popular Leesville Rd. corridor in Durham. Minutes from RDU and 540, The Advantage will include 185 townhomes.
- Windjam entered the Wilson market with three communities: 1158 Place, Bright Leaf, and Walkers Station with Eastwood Homes and Ashton Woods as the preferred builders.
Ready for Residents!
While much of the past year involved developing plans for new neighborhoods, several of our entities put the final touches on luxury homes in 2023.
- In Pittboro’s The Summit community, Sage Built’s masterpiece The Vista at 60 Citori Court, opened its doors for tours and medaled in the Home Builders Association Parade of Homes. This extraordinary, innovated home is packed with amenities that span over 4000 SF, including a scullery, gym, and Sub-Zero appliances.
- In Chapel Hill, just minutes from Jordan Lake, Windjam is busy with sales. The Windfall community is almost completely sold out. With huge multi-acre lots, Sage Built is taking the lead at 846 Ocoee Falls Drive as they transform this four-acre wooded homesite into a lucky owner’s luxury dream home.
- West Cary’s desirable Destin community is home to another stunning Sage Built home ready for move-in. Sitting on 808 Journeys Rest Lane is a modern home that spans nearly 6000 SF and includes endless smart features.
- Sage Built completed two of the Triangle’s largest home builds in 2023. One in Wendell totaling 18,136 sq ft and the other near Jordan Lake in Chatham County at 14,039 sq ft.
An Award-Winning Team:
The team at Windjam Companies was recognized numerous times in 2023, affirming that our business model aligns with the areas in which it thrives.
- Jennifer Scott, Windjam’s property law specialist, was named to the Real Estate Power List for the second year in a row. This is a huge honor given to only 25 of the most respected and knowledgeable real estate attorneys in the Carolinas.
- Jennifer Scott also appeared in numerous Triangle Business Journal Articles throughout 2023 and wrapped it up with an amazing win–the 2023 Women in Business Award! We could not be more proud to have Jennifer on the Windjam Companies team.
- Sage Built, the custom home-building arm of Windjam Companies, has been growing exponentially. In 2023, that success reached a new level as Sage Built was named one of central North Carolina’s Top-Ten Custom Builders by the Triangle Business Journal.
- Highlights of the 2023 Parade of Homes featured two homes designed and built by Sage Built. In The Summit neighborhood, the luxury home at 60 Citori Court, The Vista, medaled in the million dollar + category, and in the Destin community, the Parade home was purchased prior to the beginning of the Parade.
- In 2023, the Windjam Properties team, a subsidiary of Windjam Companies, welcomed Jennifer Cullen to its team to expand our brokerage team. With deep knowledge of the local area, Jennifer is set to become another star of the Windjam team.
- Working with Martin Communications, Windjam Properties revamped its websites for Windjam Companies (WindjamCompanies.com), Sage Built (SageBuiltNC.com), and The Summit (HamptonsSummit.com) to make the customer experience seamless.
While the list of accomplishments goes on, perhaps the favorite for the Windjam team was its significant involvement with Hope Connection International. HCI provides tailored options aimed to enable survivors of abuse succeed in recovery. In 2023, Windjam Companies led a sponsored, fundraising golf tournament which included a matching contribution for all donations received the week of the event. The result was a donation to HCI that exceeded all expectations and fulfilled the Windjam mission to give back to those communities in which it serves.
What’s in store for 2024? So much more! Windjam Companies is looking forward to another exciting year filled with success including a positive impact on the communities and clients we touch.
